Hello Blog World...I'm back!
Lately I have really felt the call being placed in my heart to write something else. Amazing Faith...Meet my Friend Tammy was quite a journey and at the time I never imagined embarking on the writing journey again...ever. But in the last few weeks I have felt the nudge from God that I'm not finished yet with the writing fun. When I ignore the nudge, inevitably He sends someone to tell me how much they enjoyed the first book. And that maybe they could get to read another one by me some day. I always laugh it off and say a humble thank you when I really want to run screaming away.
But then this week an idea came to me from a Twitter Follower that I have never met or known...she just randomly followed me one day and when I looked at her previous tweets, something caught my eye. She hosts a blog community on-line Bible Study. They are fixing to start Esther (Beth Moore's). I absolutely LOVE that study! Anyway the idea came down on my head like a 2x4. I think God wants me to write some material to use as a Bible Study. I have always wanted to, but thought it was too crazy. NOTE: I am currently recovering from a surgically removed tooth...so maybe it is crazy and maybe my pain meds are too strong for me to think clearly. But I like the thought of attempting it, and I can probably bribe 3-4 people into participating with me...so why not? I mean Beth Moore got her start writing her own Bible Study material for a small group class...
So this blog will be the format. My plan is (I know, famous last words) to get a topic from God and create a short "lesson" then have 5 days of some type of homework for us to do. Then an open discussion to finish the week of study and assignments. It might be a different topic each week, that is up to God to lead me. Who knows...maybe the next God plan is to publish something formal as a workbook! Or maybe not to publish but just to give me accountability to keep my nose in His Word when it is ever so tempting to watch ESPN. *grin big with hurting mouth* But whatever He wants for as long as He wants...may He find me a willing vessel for Him to make able.
I will plan to kick it off next month-ish (end of August or maybe the first week of September - depending on when I get a few weeks ready to go). I started writing it this weekend past and have two lessons complete including 8 days of short homework (key word...short! The homework is meant to provoke thought and scripture research, but in small doses so you can fit it in no matter how small your window of free time)! God is giving me the words to write faster than I expected. He rocks that way! So get ready!
